HomeVestors | They Say We Buy Ugly Houses
|
|
|
|
You know the name and have seen their commercials on television. They are America's #1 home buyer.
If you are interested in buying a home, you can go and browse through the homes that are listed in the area you desire. It gives you a picture of the home and great details about the home. Then at the bottom of the page it will give you contact information of the person or property management company selling the home.
Now, if you are interested in selling your home, they have you fill out a form with your information. Then they say someone will contact you by phone to further the process.

User Experience

HomeVestors is a fairly good place to visit if you are looking in the real estate market.
The first problem I see is that the website is very slow in downloading and changing from page to page. Although, it is easy to navigate and find what you are looking to do on their site. They do say they are ranked among the top 200 franchises since 2001.
From their website you can browse through listed homes for sale. You can be set up to sell your own property. In addition, they also have a program where you can sell them your note. There are also opportunities to become an investor or a franchise.

Content Evaluation

HomeVestors.com has an option for them to buy your note. There is almost no information on how this process works. They just ask you to fill out a form.
The negative to both buying and selling your home on HomeVestors is that they do not provide helpful information to new homebuyers, tips on how to sell or buy your home wisely. They just put the information out there without any help.
There are opportunities to become an investor or a franchise, but again they ask you to fill out a form, so they can contact you to discuss this further.

Overall Website Rating
|
|
HomeVestors is one of the slowest and poorly put together real estate website that I have seen. The only section that I liked was the “buy a house” page. The pictures of the homes were clear. The details of the homes were spelled out completely. The only exception was that I did not really know the person that I would be dealing with on the buying of the home.
Every other section of the website was somewhat confusing. There were just forms to fill out and promises of phone calls to wait for. Overall, I would not invest my time in this website.
